Naomi Ives

Naomi Ives started singing as a music scholar at Malvern College under the direction of Rory Boyle and Iain Sloan. At the age of 16 Naomi joined the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain. After graduating from Durham, where she played the flute in the University Symphony Orchestra and sang in various choirs including Keith Wright’s Palatinate of Voices, Naomi moved to Oxford, where she joined the Lincoln College Chapel Choir.

Since moving to London in 2005 she has sung with the Holst Singers under Stephen Layton and various other choirs including ConQordia and Laudate under Howard Ionascu. Recent tours include Israel with Schola Cantorum of Oxford and Laurence Cummings, and Estonia with the Holst Singers, Arvo Pärt and Veljo Tormis. Naomi qualified as an associate solicitor with Freshfields in 2007 and is currently on secondment at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
